Spector Constant & Williams Commercial Dispute Resolution team recognised by Legal 500

Spector Constant & Williams is pleased to announce that its Commercial Dispute Resolution team has been recognised in the UK Legal 500, a market-leading directory that ranks the country’s top commercial law firms. The team, launched in 2019 and led by founding partner Richard Spector, achieved a ranking in the highly competitive London mid-market Commercial Dispute Resolution category.

The Legal 500 write-up emphasised how the Commercial Dispute Resolution team is “increasingly sought out by private clients and businesses that are involved in high-value, domestic and international disputes”. In addition to practice head, Richard Spector, who was noted for his expertise in ‘banking and insolvency claims, professional negligence and contractual disputes’, the directory recommended ‘experienced commercial litigator’ and partner James Robertson.

The directory assesses law firms based on the quality of their work, as well as feedback from over 40,000 GCs and clients. Clients emphasised Spector Constant & Williams’ ‘effective litigation lawyers who are very capable at running substantial commercial litigation. They take great care that their clients understand complex issues and are in control of their litigation.’ Richard Spector was singled out as ‘strategic and insightful about his clients’ litigation objectives’, while also ‘a very experienced litigator, who is willing to enter into funding arrangements with clients who would otherwise not have access to justice’.  Clients also praised ‘fantastic associate’ Aurelia Matonis.

Richard Spector said: “Naturally we’re delighted about the Legal 500 recognition, which reflects the hard work we have put into building the practice and establishing trusted relationships with our clients over the past five years.”
