Marion Silvey features in property press on Land Registry changes
Real Estate Partner Marion Silvey is featured in the property press commenting on HM Land Registry’s ambitious new Strategy 2025+, which aims to modernise property transactions and improve the customer experience within the property industry.
The Land Registry announcement, as part of the new HM Land Registry Strategy 2025+, covers speeding up searches, reducing errors, digitalising local land charges data, and allowing property owners to edit the register.
Commenting on this in The Negotiator, Marion says: “Whilst HM Land Registry Strategy 25+ is somewhat lacking in meaningful detail as to how and what changes will exactly be implemented, anything to speed up the process of registrations and applications to Land Registry will no doubt be very gratefully received by the property industry.
“So long as the data received remains accurate and applications dealt with correctly, a reduction in timeframes for registrations and other applications could vastly improve day-to-day timeframe transactions for developers, lenders and buyers.”
These planned changes, which will also allow property information to be shared as spatial data, are sure to be welcomed by property lawyers, buyers, and sellers alike.
