Sofia has a broad practice, with a focus on residential and mixed-use development projects. She acts predominantly for developers, builders, property traders and high
net-worth individuals.
Sofia’s practice includes the acquisition and disposal of investment properties, advising on commercial and residential developments, including negotiating section 106 agreements, section 278 agreements and unilateral undertakings with planning authorities, landlord and tenant matters, secured lending and site assembly.
Sofia works closely with her clients who appreciate her proactive and practical approach.
Recent Experience
- Advising on the acquisition of a large mixed-use development and negotiating pre-lettings with major retailers and individual lessees
- Acting on the purchase and disposal of numerous investment properties and related finance work
- Advising on an 80-unit scheme in the Barking area which included Permitted Development rights
- Acting on a number of high-end residential acquisitions and disposals in central London
- Refinancing large residential and commercial property portfolios with UK and offshore private banks
- Acting for both landlords and tenants within the leisure industry (including gyms, restaurants and pubs), and negotiating leases within large retail developments and established malls
- Advising on the acquisition of large investment portfolios comprising over 100 properties
- Acting on the assignment of a charge over an asset valued at c.£90m in Knightsbridge for an offshore bank
Outside Work
Sofia is a fair weather cyclist and fitness fanatic, who enjoys cooking for friends and family in her spare time. After finishing her Law degree at Cambridge University she embarked on a brief Cordon Bleu chef course prior to completing her legal practice course in London and training at an established West End real estate firm.
